I Thought I Outgrew the Whole Push You on the Playground Moment

To be honest, I wasn’t pleased when boys pushed me on the playground. I didn’t think that meant they liked me. I didn’t go cry to my mom and have her tell me that thats what it meant. I usually just pushed them back. I’d like to say that a couple of decades have changed this story, but they haven’t. If a mid-to-late twenties guy wants to take the whole “push her on the playground” strategy with me, they usually just get pushed back…and in a way bigger fashion than they would have when I was 6. I just don’t get it. If you like me, let me know. Don’t be a douche. Same thing goes for if you just want to hook up with me; guess what, boys, a lot of times, i just want to hook up with you too. I don’t want to get married. I’m not picturing white picket fences. I just like to have fun. Just like you do. And getting pushed on the playground isn’t fun for anyone. Think of a new tactic.
